About The Haven

The Haven is a small complementary therapy practice in the heart of the riverside village of Calstock, on the banks of the Tamar.

Lily opened the lovely new treatment room in January 2016, there is an adjoining bathroom, which is available for clients use (particularly good if you are coming straight from work and would like to shower before your treatment). The Haven is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs.

There is all day, free parking near by, on the quay, and it is just 5 minutes walk to the Tamar Valley Line Railway Station. Trains run from Plymouth to Gunnislake.

Calstock is a beautiful village, and a lovely place to relax before or after a treatment. There are walks beside the river, and through Cotehele Woods to the National Trust Estate.

Gorgeous coffee, tea, light lunches and indulgent cakes are available at Lishe – Calstock’s new cafe, which is just opposite The Haven. Calstock has two pubs, both of which serve food. The Tamar Inn is very close to The Haven, and has a garden overlooking the river, and serves morning coffee and afternoon tea. The Limekiln Gallery has pictures, ceramics and jewellery to browse, and Make New and Mend offers the possibility of some retail therapy, with a range of up cycled clothes, shoes and accessories.

So a visit to The Haven is a real opportunity to take some time out and unwind.

As well as the individual therapies available at The Haven, a number of workshops take place throughout the year, usually on Saturdays.

The Haven is available to hire for small group activities.
